Education is FREEDOM and Adversity is Your Superpower | James W. Keyes | Episode #115

James W. Keyes (Jim) is known internationally as a business and social change agent. His career has included serving as CEO of two Fortune 500 companies (Blockbuster Inc. and 7-Eleven) and creating a strategic consumer product collaboration with Walmart.  Additionally, Jim is a patron of the arts and is currently working on ways to share more of the Vatican Museum’s sacred art with the rest of the world.

Passionate about aerospace and aviation, Jim has been a pilot for 40 years. He is a skilled sculptor, painter, musician, and composer.  He also enjoys playing various sports, including baseball, golf, polo, tennis, and skiing.

Growing up in a 3-room house full of kids with no running water or electricity, Jim learned the value of hard work and how to find blessings in any situation, including the harsh winters of Massachusetts.  In this episode, Jim takes the BeatiDudes through the arc of his life story and shares the amazing lessons he learned along the way.

Jim recently released a book spotlighting how he was able to climb out of poverty through education called “Education is Freedom.”
